PhotoReflect Password Extractor - shoggoth - Mar 31, 2017

Wrote this earlier today, as part of making a move from Python 2 to Python 3.

It basically just recovers the password for a password-protected PhotoReflect gallery. Due to PhotoReflect being retarded, the password is actually in the HTML source code of the page, in a Viewstate variable.

Feature requests, code criticism, etc, are all welcome.

Link for the lazy

I'll check it out and give some feedback. I was thinking of making a crossplatform password recovery tool but never could figure out how shit was saved on mac or how to retrieve shit from the keychain

EDIT: Only suggestion I can make it to use context managers for the request, other than that looks good :), I should get around to regular expressions at some point.

I was using an older script I got off this forum but Photoreflect changed something a few months back and it stopped working.

I would love to start using your script, but I am completely unfamiliar with Python. Is there anyway to automate this or could you give me a step by step to using your code.

Thank you

I hope someone could help me out, but I have Python and the photoreflect.py open, where do I input the url of the photoreflect site? Any help is very much appreciated, thanks!

Just paste the URL right after photoreflect.py in the command line.

python3 photoreflect.py URL

Hey Folks sorry to ask again, I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly. I have the requests module installed, and tried running photoreflect.py . This is what I get in response.

C:\>photoreflect.py photoreflect.com/store/ThumbAccess.aspx?e=9080994
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\photoreflect.py", line 29, in <module>
run(url=sys.argv[1])
TypeError: run() got an unexpected keyword argument 'url'

I'm not sure what im doing wrong, but I appreciate any help you can send my way. Thanks!

I finally got it working, thanks for the help everyone!

darn too bad it doesnt work if you dont know their email, but still awesome regardless!

That particular gallery looks to not be online anymore. "These photos are currently not available."

* - royseeksall007 - Apr 12, 2017

The photos were deleted but at least I was able to get the password.

The other galleries all require emails, so I cant get them. But i'm happy I got the extractor working lol.

Alright. So I have Python3.6, PiP, and downloaded your code. My question is where am I supposed to save your code? To the scripts folder?

Then I'm having issues running the script. When I run it in IDLE, it says "Photoreflect" invalid syntax.

RE: PhotoReflect Password Extractor - sillysmith007 - Jul 2, 2018

I know this is an old post but would anyone have time to give me a hand with this? When in Python it says line 2 request not found but i can see the request.py file in the python3 files.

RE: PhotoReflect Password Extractor - .kr. - Jul 3, 2018

you'll need requests
http://docs.python-requests.org/en/master/

Code
python -m pip install requests
