The Nanocore case and HF quality/reliability - EvilNerd - Apr 11, 2017

Nanocore was sold here like many other software/service/books.

Suddenly, with no warning, the service ceased, server went offline and the software become not operative.
All the people who used it for managing a large number of clients become suddenly unable to work anymore, but with all their clients are still running a server software that tries to connect to their ip address.
The explanation that the owner of nanocore gave for this situation is basically a "because f**k you".

I can't understand how you are gonna to tolerate such a behaviour.

And with "you" I mean: the nanocore users, who have trusted the seller and HF reputation, and the Admins of HF.
I subscribed several hack sites, but browse and make deal only on HF.
Because I felt that the quality and integrity are something liked and enforced here: the policy of zero tolerance with LQP, warez, spam, trolling, scams and illegal activity paid: HF grows and become a place totally different
from the average "teen" hacking site: a place where you can learn a LOT of things, meet competent and serious people and makedeals without the fear of being scammed or infected.

All this trust now was destroyed: nanocore for me was an instrument of work.
A lot of people lately troll any rat thread with the "you are doing illegal things hurr durr" litany.
This is not my case: I've NEVER even considerating mass spreading for getting thousands of "slaves".
However this is a gray area: I work for an investigative service and use the rat for minor or employee monitoring, illegal competition, spouse cheating and, when the job is terminated I usually erase the server from the controlled computer for avoiding problems.

Now I and all the nanocore users are left with no service and with all our old client who costantly ping our IP address.
(an evidence against us !) How someone can trust HF anymore ?

The otions for the owner of nanocore are:
1 run the server for more 1 week, so we can recover our clients with a more reliable rat or erase the server there.
2 create a tool that, run as a nanocore administator erase (deinstall) all the server as they tries a connection.
3 do nothing and debase the reputation of HF (hope of staff action in this case)

If HF don't condone the use of cracked software should doing something for support the use of paid one: If I was using a cracked version of nanocore the termination of service of the paid version didn't touch me, instead I bought the software legally, I respect the rules and got screwed.

A lot of free rat are coming and, with a precedent like this a lot of people will opt for a free or a cracked version.

This is also against the interests of HF admins: cracked software don't pay sticky.

I could see why they should keep the servers up for a week to allow for uninstalls but didn't they give a warning period?

I dont think they did.
Don't quote me on this.

If you weren't doing anything illegal, then why does it matter if the server still tries to connect to your IP? Can't you just phone up your ISP and make up a little excuse as why you want it changed?

Half of these don't mean anything if these are your own computers, you can safely uninstall nanocore and install another RAT.

matter. Is an evidence against me. "illegal" is a vague term. This is a gray area.

Or use a legal tool such as Orcus which has permission to operate rather than an illegal tool.

Also don't blame admins of Hack Forums for your mistrust in a piece of software -
If you are using this in a legal environment, use a legal piece of software for large networks or use linux like a normal human being for pentesting.

Cracked software isn't allowed to be sold/given away on Hackforums and if you see it, report it. It's pretty simple to understand.

I wish they would of given users a 3 day notice to vacate at least. I primarily used Nanocore to control my RDP's I had at least 250 RDP clients running individual tasks on my Nanocore client. I am struggling to re-locate those clients as we speak. I am not a big fan of Luminosity often times it freezes on my computer. However Nanocore was different it was fast, stable and mobile.

I really do hope the owner re-considers selling off the project I've been a active member since the dawn of 2014. It was one of the bests RAT's I've ever had the honor of using.

So, let me understand you OP...

You are upset the Original developer of Nanocore and Netseal was arrested, raided and busted, hard drives seized, etc.

And the current people who ran the project decided to shut down shop?

This surprises you, HOW?❓
