PSA: HexPay is shutting down - mlkr - Apr 17, 2017

HexPay is officially shutting down in May, here is what they wrote in their email: "We have some sad news to announce, HexPay is going to be shutting down.

Unfortunately as of late there has been an influx of scammers and sellers abusing the site. We don't have the time to trawl through all the products daily, trying to remove/ban these users.

HexPay was offered free, and it's just not worth continuing the service further. We have added a CSV export feature to allow you to download all transactions so you can continue supporting your buyers.

The site will continue to operate for 2 weeks, but will be shutting down on May 1st, 2017. You have until this point to retrieve data from the system."

Thought some of you would like to know this.

Xez is upset about scammers, yet he always responded to abuse reports with hostility or ignored them completely. He dug his own grave.

Funny that the fact he was using fraudulent AWS vouchers to pay for his server is what finally did him in.

Service to protect users against fraud used by fraudsters to commit fraud shuts down for using fraud.

There's a Krebs bait in that story somewhere.
