First to start you need to figure out what firmware your on anything from 2.1.0-11.3 will work just fine.

Now that you know this you can follow the guide on this website:3ds.guide

I have successfully hacked three 3ds's with this method

Here are some disclaimers and warnings
You could brick your device rare but follow this guide 100% especially if a n3ds user
be at least slightly skilled with a computer. All you are doing is dragging and dropping files so at least know that

If you want to download the files as fast as possible use this website:Homebrew Files and put your firmware version and N3DS or Old.
