Always the same question - Stefanokj - Apr 25, 2017

Okay, I understand that all vpn companies keep the logs in one way or another or in any case, the datacenter keeps the logs.
If a person creates their own vpn, he is not sure, because being the only one to use it, any traffic can be directed to him.
But then, is it impossible to remain anonymous?

I'm talking above all with you that you do spreading your rat etc: how do you do not knock home from the police?

I mean a VPN is just a tunnel to another network. I suggest you read this wiki page to understand what VPNs are and do.

But the goal of vpn (in some cases) is not to mask the IP address to make it unplugable?

VPN (Virtual Private Networks) job is to provide an alternate route/IP#/Host to the destination and connections. Part of the result is the end user is viewed as a different IP# to the rest of the world, this is why VPNs are used frequently to bypass FIrewall restrictions and other network barriers. (Such as blocked ports)

As for logging. Understand logs are always kept SOMEWHERE. It is inevitable now a days.

If the VPN host does not, the data center might, and if they don't, the data centers line provider might. and the list goes on.

Thank you so much for the explanation
So the only way to remain 'anonymous' is tor?

While Tor may help, I would never rely on it. Exit nodes have been breached before.

Is there a list of 'secure exit nodes'?
