Change "Open Powershell Window Here" to "Open CMD Window Here" - Hoodie+ - Apr 25, 2017

I somehow changed a settings of this and changed it to "Open Powershell Window Here"

I never use Powershel and I don't know how to revert it.

Most guides on Google do it over the registry but I don't feel comfortable doing it that way.

Where is the setting in Windows 10 which I can use to make it "Open CMD Window Here"

Thanks for taking up with my stupid ass.. 🤝

Registry editing is the only possible way to do this now. Command prompt is already set for removal from Windows 10.

If you are super concerned with doing that. Just back up your registry first. This a good practice in general before you do stuff in the registry.

I wasn't aware of that, I guess it's time to learn to use Powershell...

You can still use several of your favorite CMD commands in PoSH, there are just bookoo's of extra goodies. Microsoft has said for a while that they want to phase out the command prompt and just use PoSH.

That would be a good idea. Honestly it's not hard to learn if all you want to do is replicate the commands from command prompt since most are completely identical.

PowerShell a lot more functionality though, which is good.
