Share your project idea for beginners| VB.NET| C#.NET - Theo™ - Apr 27, 2017 Hello everyone, I have seen most of the beginners start learning c# or vb.net theoretically. The problem comes when they run out of ideas to code a basic program. So, in this thread i request everyone to post their project idea so other beginners can directly pick any from this thread and start coding. I have seen martyar2's project idea thread on other forum. I thought there should be one over HF to make it easier for beginners to search them. I will pick random project idea and put them into main thread as the "Task of the Week" for all beginners 🤝 * - +Haze - Apr 27, 2017 This is going to accomplish nothing I'm afraid * - Theo™ - Apr 27, 2017 (Apr 27, 2017 09:15 AM)+Haze Wrote: This is going to accomplish nothing I'm afraid Wouldn't it help if all project idea is given on one thread? I have seen you a lot around this section, your feedback about this thread matters a lot to me. Please correct me if i am wrong about the motive behind this thread 🤝 * - Cairns - Apr 27, 2017 Why don't you try to make something as basic as a little web browser based on the web browse component and to twist things up a bit add in tab support, proxy support, etc. It should be a decent starting point for a beginner. * - Earn - Apr 28, 2017 When I started coding, I coded a small hacking toolbox to help with simple things, as hacking is what got me into programming. It included things like an extension spoofer, file pumper, GeoIP tool (using an API), icon changer & a few others. They are all pretty simple to code & can even be useful to the programmer (I used mine all the time). Another example would be a simple proxy checker or scraper. These will help with lists, regex & WebRequests. I find that it all depends on what the person is interested in. I'm a guitarist, so I also coded a simple backing track streamer & downloader. I used it heaps & I found it very useful. The best things to code are the things the person will use. If someone is having trouble thinking if something to code, just think of something you do regularly & create a program to automate the process. A lot of things may seem hard to code, but once you start, you realise how simple it can be done. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. 🤝 * - Ninja - Apr 28, 2017 Please don't start with hacking tools or things that can generate you income as that will get you into programming for the wrong reasons and it will eventually lead you to skidding (most of the time) and thus not learning. Try making some useful things, like a WebBrowser. If you are good with maths try GDI and making some simple custom controls. * - Earn - Apr 28, 2017 (Apr 28, 2017 11:22 AM)Ninja Wrote: Please don't start with hacking tools or things that can generate you income as that will get you into programming for the wrong reasons and it will eventually lead you to skidding (most of the time) and thus not learning. If the person is into hacking & will use the tools he is making, then I really see no problem with coding them. I started off with them & I never skidded. * - ubbelol - Apr 28, 2017 (Apr 28, 2017 11:22 AM)Ninja Wrote: Please don't start with hacking tools or things that can generate you income as that will get you into programming for the wrong reasons and it will eventually lead you to skidding (most of the time) and thus not learning. This. ^ * - ZipBag - May 1, 2017 What I liked to do when I got bored was downloading big open-source projects of applications I liked and looked at how I could optimize, clean it and make it flow smoother. There are almost always better solutions once you think hard enough. Granted I only did max a class at a time I think it did me good until I figured out what I wanted to make. |
