Can't see wlan0 in autoscan setup (Kali Linux) - Huzo - Apr 27, 2017

Hi all 🤝
I was trying to install autoscan in Kali Linux but when I try to, I only see eth0 as network interface. Why is that? I can see wlan0 just fine when I type in iwconfig.

Thanks

Are you live booting, or running it in a VM?
If it is in a VM, make sure your connection is correctly configured.
In your case I'm going to guess that if you look at the top right of your screen you see a little ethernet symbol where the wifi picture is on my ubuntu machine

eth0 is your internet card, wlan0 is your wireless card

So, I have to turn off wired connection and connect to a wifi network instead?

Nevermind, solved it. Seemingly I had to connect to internet via WiFi too.
