What's the median house price in your city/area? And if you don't own a house already, when are you expecting to be able to own one?

It isn't technically in my name, but I will be the owner of this property after my dad passes, which I hope never happens.
In Toronto, the average price of a detached home now sits at $1,573,622, a 29.8 per cent jump from last year, according to TREB - Source CBC
Edit: Across from me they had just built new town homes, both homes sharing the same size property of mine and individually had sold for $1,2 & 1,3 Million CAD. Having said that my house is probably valued around $2 Million due to the property location and size.
