Language for Social Media Tools? - Hi Roller - May 5, 2017
I know HTML/CSS/JavaScript but not really other coding languages, I'm wondering what languages are used to make things like social media tool programs where the user can get follows, likes etc? Or also where they can just manage their account with mass unfollows, follows by keyword, etc.

WebApp, mobile Application or Desktop?
Check the API from Instagram or Facebook.
You could use JavaScript for Webapp, Java or Swift for mobile Apps or c/c++/ch, python etc for Desktop Application

I would not recommend python for desktop applications. It's just a preference. A better choice would be VB.NET, or C#.NET (if developing for windows). If you want an easy way to develop cross-platform, then go with Java and JavaFx (don't use swing, pretty outdated).

for DesktopApp move to C# (Windows) or Java (all Platform, JRE required)
i like c#.net with wpf for windowsapplications
