Adoc (UID 2792899) Mass Scammer. Over $4000 Scammed. Multiple Members - Cryptic™ - May 7, 2017 Scammer - Adoc (UID 2792899) - https://hackforums.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=2792899 User posted a thread yesterday indirectly saying he was selling a couple of TokenCard ICO tokens because he had a ton of them and wanted to help out the HF community and all that jazz. The link to the thread is here --> https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5613622 Everything seemed legit. He told us to create a wallet on MyEtherWallet and use these settings for the token Address: 0x65B9D9B96bccE0b89d807413E4703D2C7451593a Symbol: TKN Decimals: 8 When we googled 0x65B9D9B96bccE0b89d807413E4703D2C7451593a it seemed legit, it was posted all over BitCoinTalk and Reddit https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1887092.msg18841821#msg18841821 What's strange is Adoc sold The Broker tokens BEFORE 0x65B9D9B96bccE0b89d807413E4703D2C7451593a was released anywhere on the internet many days ago, which leads me to believe he's involved in a ring of scammers that setup this whole operation on the web. Pretty big scam. It turns out that it was a fake token and that the address was just shilled to make it look real. Hundreds of thousands of dollars were scammed over the past 24 hours. My propagative on this was Adoc realized he was sold fake tokens from his supplier and shilled it on HF to make HIS money back. OR that he is directly involved in the operation that scammed tons of money over the past couple of days. He sold it to other members for $2 each while he sold them to me for $1.3 each. Members scammed: Cryptic™ - $1034.5 on 796.38 Tokens The Broker - $1058 for 526 Tokens FruktFPS - $250 for 126 Tokens Indecisive enough - $200 for 100 Tokens Hastur - $300 for 100 Tokens Sυperman - $675 for 275 Tokens Grizzlies - $120 for 92.3076923077 Tokens bigmoney - $300 for 230 Tokens moghulx - $42 for 42 Tokens. There are more members, in which case, come forward and post the amount you were scammed in this thread. We know for a fact he has scammed at least over $4000. We will be looking for his real info and pursue with legal action. Some screenshots on various members interactions with Adoc The Broker: https://gyazo.com/6e975f3d28e7c42bb24cf32d148e447e https://gyazo.com/a56acffa21b9218ac032f519dfb0187c TL;DR Adoc either created a fake token or was sold fake tokens. The token address was posted all over BitCoinTalk and Reddit dating back to May 2 making it look real. He sold us the fake tokens. When we tried depositing it on https://liqui.io this morning it did not work, which made us realize it was a fake token. There are tons of people complaining on BitCoinTalk and Reddit about this, thousands of dollars were scammed, no way to tell how much. It could exceed 10K or more. * - POLY MATH - May 7, 2017 This is crazy and a different level of scamming for sure. * - Frukt - May 7, 2017 I was a victim of this. Clever and disgusting scam. Legit scam report, any help we can get is appreciated. * - TheChiеf - May 7, 2017 Damn. Sorry to hear this. Was gonna purchase this myself as well. Glad I didn't have BTC ready 🤦♂ Hopefully, you get to this motherfucker. * - Regulus - May 7, 2017 Holy fucking shit, I am so sorry for your loss everyone. I hope this dude gets a taste of karma... * - Zajekeroni - May 7, 2017 What a brilliant scam! Good for him man. * - Hastur - May 7, 2017 I am glad Minimalist got him banned so quick, I bet he has hundreds of PMs of people wanting to purchase. * - Regulus - May 7, 2017 (May 7, 2017 07:34 AM)Zajekeroni Wrote: What a brilliant scam! I mean it seems almost every hf member of any standing scams on here! Eg turtledaddykim * - Cryptic™ - May 7, 2017 (May 7, 2017 07:34 AM)Zajekeroni Wrote: What a brilliant scam! Good for him man. Whoever is behind this whole operation did a good job. Something like this takes a lot of work and planning and has to be executed over many days. Although it's sad we got scammed, they did one hell of a job making it look so legit. There are much more members that were scammed aside from the ones I mentioned in the OP. He sold them to Reddington on May 3rd meaning he's been selling them privately to members for at least 3-4 days before posting his thread last night. * - ๖ۣۜEnlightened - May 7, 2017 This is huge... best of luck getting the money back, there are plenty of ICO scams like this happening daily, which is why I never invest in them. Sorry for the loss OP and the victims. * - minimalist - May 7, 2017 What a shame. I guess this serves as an expensive lesson to never buy from an "early investor" if the contract hasn't even been released yet (now the address is on the top right of TokenCard's site). Not sure why nobody reported that user for offering to sell tokens outside of the marketplace either. Would have prevented any of this from happening. * - PrivateDonut - May 7, 2017 (May 7, 2017 07:36 AM)Hastur Wrote: I am glad Minimalist got him banned so quick, I bet he has hundreds of PMs of people wanting to purchase. he was banned for 3 days for posting outside the marketplace. * - Mr. Robot - May 7, 2017 If you need a hand to find this guy, I am open to trying my best to assist in finding him. * - Wre©ked - May 7, 2017 This is a real shame actually. He was in a crypto investment group I am in on skype and he has been hyping this coin up for over a week. He private messaged me on skype and tried to get me to buy some before they were released on exchange, something didnt sit well with me about it therefore I declined. Sorry for everyones loss. |
