[help] Need Help Removing Write Protection From Pen Drive - Xerecrome - May 14, 2017 Hey guy, I am currently having this issue with a pendrive and was wondering if any of you could help me. Now i know that there have been some topics regarding this issue previously as well as i have read that previous threads as well but unfortunately none of it worked but i really wanna make this work so can you guys please help me with this. Im having a Kingston 32gb pendrive (dont know how that gonna helps but gonna add it just in case) which is apparently write protected (i dont know how it happened) i have already tried scanning for virus with with multiple anti viruses (namely kaspersky, macafee, escan and etc..) i also have tried with regedit (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies) and cmd (attributes disk clear readonly) and to make things worse when i tried formating it went halfway and failed cuz write protected so as u may have guessed now its stuck in raw format....so can u guys please help me. P.S: sorry for that unnecessarily long msg and also for my bad english 🤨 * - Hackoo - May 14, 2017 Hi Did you tried with diskpart command line ? * - Xerecrome - May 16, 2017 (May 14, 2017 10:26 AM)Hackoo Wrote: Hi yes i have, but sadly it didn't work * - mantas105 - Oct 10, 2017 i have same problem with this * - 5chn4pp - Oct 10, 2017 This is typically just a usb drive that doesn't work anymore, happened to me also.
