what is the best free anti virus/malware?

The included Windows Defender isn't all that bad as long as you don't go to dodgy places.

* - Mr.Cat - May 14, 2017

Actually its best if you have more than 3-4 antiviruses running for maximum protection!

Not the right section, but I dont believe there is any best one, maybe try malwarebytes, keep in mind I'm not a pro in this domain.

Malwarebytes isnt an antivirus

All you need is one of these babies and you won't need any anti-virus or anti-malware.
This box connector automatically filters all potential harmful/already harmful data incoming to your computer.

You're right, but OP asked for anti malware too so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So instead of the connector box having to store all those bad data (you would need a lot of data storage), it converts the data particles into electricity and the the copper acts as a ground as it comes out of the box.

Would recommend MalwareBytes and BitDefender.
For annoying ad popups, and adware: ADWCleaner

'data particles' lol, but yeah OP you don't really need anti-virus, just don't be stupid

McAfee is so good, even their CEO talks about it in a good light.

I think the best AV's are Avira free, panda, and AVAST
"iihh avast is so sh*t..." => Not it isn't it's quite good, especially for runtime.
