Transparent/glass effect for vb.net form in Windows 10 [SOLVED] - _UnderDog - May 28, 2017 I have some spare time from my studies and I am once again trying to search for a blurred/transparent form background, or to be specific 'aero glass effects'. It seems that the methods used already are only for Windows 7 and are not supported in Windows 10. I'm asking if anyone here knows where I can start for the glass effect that Windows 10 currently uses, maybe even a reference I can download to do the trick (rtaGlassEffectsLib.dll does not work in this case). Thanks. EDIT: I FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING THAT WORKS. Anyone else that finds this and needs help, go here: https://www.codeproject.com/Questions/1098399/How-to-make-form-have-blur-effect-in-windows works like magic. * - Zilog80 - May 28, 2017 Maybe the dumbest reply but...Have you tried to enable Areo in Windows 10? Code DWORD EnableBlurBehind equals to 1* - _UnderDog - May 28, 2017 I assumed it was already enabled (it was visible in other windows) but I checked the registry, not there, then updated Windows and checked the registry again and it appears I do not have the option still. EDIT: found something that works. |
