C# Smtp server + web interface [Source] - SIM-701256 - May 31, 2017 Hello here is a little school project i have been doing some time ago. Its basicly a console application server that receives emails though the smtp protocol (made with tcpclient/listener and saves the mails in a database + a web interface to show the users received/sent mails and the option to send mails to other accounts. Offcourse the "smtp server" does not forward the mails to a true server so its just locally. The project sounded like this: -Create a "smtp server" -Create web interface to read and write mails with login. -Option for export/import of mails (with encryption) - A simple way to change language The project contains these elements: - Use of Microsoft signalr(real-time web functionality) Link: Click here - Use of bootstrap for design - Alot of messy jquery used for the user experince on web interface - Xml import/export of mails (encrypts data on export and decrypts on import with account specific key) - Linq query (for select, update, delete, insert queries) - Tcpclient/tcplistener for receiving mails. (SmtpClient for sending) - Asp.net Forms Authentication - Simple use of ThreadPool I think that was the main things it contains. Maybe some of the code could be usefull for someone. Download link: Click here Any questions are welcome. :-) !OPPS i forgot to take a backup of the database so you guys can download and import it, i will do that tomorow when i have access to it. ![]() ![]()
* - .cYRil. - May 31, 2017 interesting project thanks m8, use Github for sharing the sources. * - Mαxim - May 31, 2017 This looks interesting. Downloaded it earlier today, haven't got a chance to check it out yet. But nice share, keep it up. And as HellGate above mentioned, GitHub is the way to go if you already haven't. * - SIM-701256 - May 31, 2017 Thanks for the comments. I will look at using GitHub:) * - gigajew - May 31, 2017 I'd pay for a video tutorial (of how to make web services in VS like this) * - SIM-701256 - May 31, 2017 Sure send me a pm. What do you exactly mean by a "web service". Just how to make a website or with the smtp part? :) RE: C# Smtp server + web interface [Source] - Juninho - Feb 2, 2025 Top demais parabéns 👏 |
