Myfonts.com hacking...sort of - chety - Jun 4, 2017 So, after searching in these forums, I found a tutorial on how to take fonts from Myfonts.com by zombieman posted in 2014. I used this tutorial to get some fonts, but found that some were incomplete and didn't have every character. Here is my take on this tutorial: 1. First, create a free Myfonts account. (I used a fake email, you don't have to). Then navigate to the font that has a webfont trial. 2. Use the webfont trial with your free account by coping their script and css and pasting it into a super basic html file with inline css and their script in the head section. The more complicated the html, the harder the next steps are going to be. 3. Save html file and open in Chrome as a local file. The link sound be on the grounds of "file:///C:/Users/(User)/Documents/index.html". Right click on the text with the font you applied the css styles and that has the font you want and find the source(s) of the page. 4. Under easy.myfonts.net, click v2, then click through the files to find the desired font. Right click, open in new tab, save as whatever, the use an online font converter to get the woff, ttf, svg, or other file type of the font downloaded. That's it. 🤗 Downsides: This only allows you to download the sample fonts that Myfonts gives you, you may not get all the italic or condensed fonts. I do not know how to find page sources in Firefox, but I'm sure it's doable. If anyone has fixes to these problems, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm also trying to rip from Typekit, which is a huge stretch I know, but any help is welcome. |
