For those who don't know what WWDC is; WWDC is the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, it's a conference held annually in California by Apple Inc. The event is used by Apple to showcase its new software and technologies for software developers.
Yesterday was WWDC 2017 and when Tim Cook took the stage and said this is gonna be the best and the biggest WWDC ever, I think he was telling the truth. There was a lot of stuff announced actually (Six Announcements). So those of you who don't want to sit through a video of the entire three-hour keynote that I sat through, this thread is for you.

The current version we have on every Mac -the latest version- is the macOS Sierra, the latest version now which has a new name is called macOS "High Sierra." (Click to View)

The reason behind this name is its supposed to be an improvement on Sierra, like a perfection of all these little features that make it great. I don't know, just ignore the name. :P

Refinements and Improvements:
  • Safari autoblocks those annoying autoplay video ads
  • Safari has intelligent ad tracking prevention
  • H.256 support which is a new codec, which will now also be hardware accelerated and built in into Final Cut Pro
  • VR and external GPUs support
The public beta is coming in late June and then a free upgrade for all Mac users coming in the fall.

iOS 11 has got a lot of little features that added to it and a big visual refresh; It's a lot flatter, colorful and clean.

New features like:
  • iMassage in iCloud; So when you switch between devices it will bring all your messages across
  • Apple Pay between people
  • H.267 video support
  • High-Efficiency Image File Format
  • New image processing
  • Siri got new smooth voice and there is a male version too
  • Redesigned control center
As an Apple Developer, you can download iOS 11 beta today and there is a free upgrade later this fall for everyone.

There were Hardware refreshes announced throughout all of Apple's lineup; New MacBooks, new Macbook Pros, and new iMacs. And out of nowhere... literally, nowhere we got this "iMac Pro." <3 (A beast of an iMac)

All it's dope features:
  • Space Gray matte black color <3 <3
  • Up to 18-Core Xeon CPU _
  • Radeon Pro Vega
  • Up to 128GB of RAM
  • Up to 4TB 3GB/s SSD
  • 10GB Ethernet on the back
  • 4 USB type-c Thunderbolt 3 ports
  • 5K Display
  • Space Gray Apple wireless keyboard
  • Space Gray trackpad
  • Space Gray Magic Mouse

iMac Pro will be released in December later this year, it was just a sneak peak. I think the announcement of this device is a big factor of what made this WWDC the best.

HomePod is a toaster size high-fi speaker that also has some assistant features built in. Again, maybe the name is kind of weird... But you know what, as an Apple fanboy and supporter, I don't care anymore. :D

Features:
  • Apple‑designed A8 chip
  • Six‑microphone array
  • Seven‑tweeter array
  • Seamless mesh fabric
  • High‑excursion woofer
  • Touch response from the top
  • Based on what you say by Siri
  • Anonymous ID and encryption — protect your privacy

Apple spent a lot of time hyping and talking about how good this thing is gonna sound. It's definitely a premium hi-fi speaker. That was also a sneak peak, and it will be released in December later on this year.

Apple announced watchOS 4 for its watch; There are quite a few little improvements to the Apple Watch.

Like:
  • New watch faces
  • Ability to send data back and forth between compatible gym equipment

tvOS you know it's better now, it's "refreshed," it's got a new UI, it supports Amazon Prime Video... That's it.

There wasn't really anything massive, it's just some minor improvements.

I am so excited for these amazing new products from Apple especially the iMac Pro; This device is a monster. Also, all the new upgrades to the software side are neat and clean. So yeah, that's pretty much it. Thank you, for reading this recap thread. Peace!

Can we just all agree that male Siri is just not Siri anymore? From all the new things this struck me as the most idiotic hange made. Siri's voice is something that should remain the same imo.

the iMac Pro looks amazing, they need to make a space grey macbook!!

Yeah, I agree it doesn't look that good and colors haven't "smartly" inverted but keep in mind it's beta 1. Maybe there is some enhancements in the next updates.

Imo if they base it on the “Classic Invert” it’s always going to look bad. They better fix everything 😑

I watched most all of it and I've got say I'm impressed. I loved the opening movie that they had, that was totally awesome. But yeah the 18 core iMac is crazy..and with 128gb of RAM. It's almost like we are in the beginning era of supercomputers. Great detailed info on this man!
