Reputation "Schemes" - Educate Yourself - YayHar - Jun 13, 2017 ![]() These reputation schemes have been happening WAY too often, mainly because users don't even know they exist. ![]() A "Reputation scheme" is when a user gives a random negative or neutral reputation with the intention to change it later in exchange for positive reputation. ![]() User A gives a negative/neutral reputation to User B. ![]() User B gives User A a negative/neutral reputation in retaliation. ![]() User A changes the reputation to positive. ![]() User B assumes the situation is resolved and changes the reputation positive. ![]() ![]() The worst part about these schemes is that they work. These users are gaining reputation faster than they should be. My theory is that users who do this, are gaining reputation to scam. Unless you want to help a scammer, USE YOUR NOGGIN'. Credit to Maxim for the idea. ![]() Spoiler (Click to View) * - Mαxim - Jun 13, 2017 Love it. Exactly. Do not resolve with people who neg you and then goes "Oh sorry, wrong person, will resolve!" NO! Neg 'em and swak 'em. * - 帖子作者 - Jun 13, 2017 lol I have never had this happen to me * - Effexion - Jun 13, 2017 He gave you permission? Jumping Jellyfish, that was good of him. This has been happening for as long as I can remember. Sadly, little can be done. * - YayHar - Jun 14, 2017 Keep an eye out for this, don't help people get scammed. * - test - Jun 14, 2017 Like 90% of my reputations are only people I have done deals or exchanges with. I rarely, if ever, rep for pointless reasons. * - Yandere - Jun 14, 2017 Never had this happen to but thanks for the heads up. * - Kaleb™ - Jun 14, 2017 Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully this doesn't ever happen to me because I don't like to neg people. * - NA Riven - Jun 14, 2017 This reminds me of this guy: https://hackforums.net/member.php?action=profile&uid=3560790 He had about 20+ rep and the he PMd everyone who -3'd him with "I am sorry I had a bad day." Ao he changed the rep on my profile to +1 and lateron when I didn't changed my rep on his profile be changed it back to a 0. Imo it's bad and if shouldn't be allowed * - Deany - Jun 14, 2017 Ya people who do this are honestly retarded as heck * - God of Thunder - Jun 14, 2017 Something or the other keeps coming. First it was the $.1 BTC giveaway. Now this + facebook and instagram likes. meh * - Nadisty - Jun 14, 2017 Interesting to see this. Would you say its abusing reputation though? Possibly borderline? * - Mαxim - Jun 14, 2017 (Jun 14, 2017 01:19 AM)TheChiеf Wrote: Spoiler (Click to View) How is that irony? Did you even read the thread? The thread is about people negging one and then attempting to resolve right away. They come up with some stupid excuse like "Ops, wrong user, can resolve!". I am mass repping those who repped me on Good Will Monday. I am simply following the tradition. Don't come here and pretend I did something wrong. Spoiler (Click to View) Those are the reps I received for Good Will Monday (the 12th). Of course the fuck I will rep them back. They had the spirit to rep me and follow the tradition and so will I.
