Ideas - Fundraise - RELATIVE PROM - Admirably - Jul 2, 2017 This year is a friend's prom. They need to raise money in order to have a good party and such. Do you guys have any ideas to save a good amount of money? Maybe doing activities or whatever. They are around 180 students and have like 6-8 month max time to fundraise. IMO best way to do it is doing raffles, but I'm willing to listen to your ideas! Hopefully I can help him a bit. * - severos - Jul 3, 2017 Around how much are you looking to save? I'll suggest looking for local stuff like washing cars or helping with whatever stuff, if you make groups and each group does something then you can finish stuff faster, it'll be more fun, and you'll know each others more. * - Admirably - Jul 3, 2017 (Jul 3, 2017 12:02 AM)severos Wrote: Around how much are you looking to save? Thanks for the suggestion dude. We will have a field day, and we'll be washing cars that day too! * - Social Engineer - Jul 3, 2017 How much are you looking to fundraise? * - test - Jul 3, 2017 I'm sure 180 students can raise enough money for a decent prom in 6 months. Car washes are great and even things like bake sales. * - SirNX - Jul 3, 2017 How much money? (to fill the extra space to make this comment) [warn] * - Admirably - Jul 3, 2017 (Jul 3, 2017 03:45 AM)Social Engineer Wrote: How much are you looking to fundraise? As much as possible. $10-15k aprox. * - JTHH - Jul 3, 2017 I saw this thing where they played annoying songs over the school speaker between classes like baby by justin beiber, and would stop for one minute every time someone payed a dollar. * - Gigabitzor - Jul 3, 2017 (Jul 3, 2017 01:57 PM)Admirably Wrote: As much as possible. $10-15k aprox. Wash cars, run a lottery (make it legal) or just put in like $50 each. * - Shazamn - Jul 3, 2017 You could try getting the people in the group that know how to cook and whatnot to make food and sell it at an event that's going in your community. As for the rest, they could either do services for the community such as wash cars in a traffic heavy area, which should help rake in some cash because that is what a lot of the sports teams in my small town do and they actually end up raising a good bit of money up. * - audemar - Jul 3, 2017 Buy pizza in bulk and sell by the slice would be a good idea also, large pizza at dominos is $12 I believe if you're a student and comes with 16 slices so charge $1.50 - $2 a slice or $5 for 2 slices with pop. * - severos - Jul 3, 2017 (Jul 3, 2017 01:57 PM)Admirably Wrote: As much as possible. $10-15k aprox. That's not really a hard target, if everyone puts 0.5$ each day in a box, by the time you'll have that much and maybe more. * - casabe - Jul 9, 2017 I think the best idea is to make lots of divided groups with lots of different activities. * - Hookies - Jul 9, 2017 There should be some restaurants around (Buffalo Wild Wings) that would let you fill out a form and if you get accepted, you can hand out tickets to all of their customers for a day for them to donate 10% of their bill to your fundraiser. |
