Just curious about how spam email like ransomware finds my email? Which program are ransomware's like Locky and Cryptolocker using to spread? Are they doing it manually?

Either you posted it online or part of your email is your username, or it generated it using some basic patterns and sent it blindly.
Emails are also often accesible in dumped databases

Databases are probably the most used method on how to get emails, it's either that or webscraping.

When you sign up for things allot of the time your actually agreeing to let your email recive adds, or they do a "bruteforce" email so they chose emails like passwords EG:
[email protected]
[email protected]
etc
And you can just get a DB leek.

Databases. There is a tut how to do it in metasploit on youtube. But, it takes a while for a new account to make it's way into the public database.

Will this collect all emails from a specific website, or will it collect active email addresses? In short, how does it collect the emails? Last but not least, why is this method better than using an email hunter like "Atomic Email Hunter", which finds emails from a specific website?
