Notorious deep web market taken down. - Defuse - Jul 13, 2017

Going to make this short & simple for people wanting to know what happened without reading a huge ass article, Alpha bay is basically the predecessor to Silk road and was one of the biggest markets after silk road shut down.

Approximately a week ago the notorious marketplace Alpha bay goes offline.

Many start speculating & mods come onto the reddit and say nothing is wrong & they are currently migrating servers and such.

A couple days go by and people start tracking their bitcoin deposits and many of their deposits where getting laundered around to different wallets.

At this point many people start getting sketched the fuck out & around this time # mods stop responding to the Reddit.

Another few days ago by and a user comes on Reddit explaining how he dox'd #'s owner & successfully extorted him for $45,000 bitcoin. After that I also found that after he extorted the owner he asked for more however the owner of # did not pay up and simply ignored him from that point on.
Many people started calling him a liar and to be completely honest he could be bullshitting about all that but after today I 100% believe what he had to say.

As of today multiple news outlets reported that a man by the name of Alexandre Cazes was detained in Thailand and hours before being extradited he committed suicide.

I honestly find this whole story bizarre and its actually crazy how everything went down I have been following these events very close for the past week.

Along with Alexandre Cazes committing suicide they found many of his assets.

"The Bangkok Post, citing Thai police sources, reported that Cazes had been living in Thailand for about eight years. Thai authorities also impounded "four Lamborghini cars and three houses worth about 400 million baht ($11.7 million) in total.""

This story is still developing & no one knows if he was the true owner of alpha bay only time will tell.

I think the owner is still alive. Especially after the US said they have no interest in seeing his dead body

Surprising cause I recently went on a few market and I thought that this one was a bit fishy.

The owner commit apparent suicide while in custody in Thailand awaiting extradition to the US.

Same thing happened with Agora and MEM,
"Ohh just going down for maintenance" never comes back up again.
