Any Pilots here? - RRRaptor - Jul 24, 2017

Hey guys. I'm just wondering if there are any other fellow aviators here, whether it be GA or Airlines! Haven't seen any around during my time here and I'd love to see if there are any more!

Yeah I played GTA once and flew a Cessna

Oh we've all been there mate.. Except I'm the first one in the 747's, taxiing and taking off appropriately.. Unlike everyone else.

You mean to tell me you're qualified to fly 747 commercial?

No sir, I'm type rated on A319/A320/Q400.

A320 isn't my preferred plane at all. Not a pilot but have over 300 flight hours on Xplane.

Still cool.

Yeah she goes okay but nothing compared to the supers. I'm currently in the pool for the A350 rating with my current airline, hoping all goes well that'd be a dream to fly! Ahh xplane, where it all began, that and FSX. That's where I first got used to the radio calls, on VATSIM!

I've always had an interest in aviation dispite a fear of heights.
The physics behind aviation amaze me.

The physics also amazed me... Until flight school and rating training. The aerodynamic principles are simply so much damn content all based on theory. But I understand what you mean, how something that can weigh tonnes upon tonnes, rotate at such a low speed and effortlessly fly for hours on end. Still impresses me to the day!

I'm a simulator pilot for a virtual airline, if that counts.

Interesting! Are you on the VATSIM network as well?

I've went flown on VATSIM a handful of times, but I usually just fly offline.

Interesting! I'm scheduled for Queensland tomorrow so should be interesting.

damn being a pilot would be an amazing job..you make amazing money and you fly planes for a living

I'm a private pilot, swear to god. I post a few times on /r/flying
https://www.reddit.com/user/bysketch/

Doing instrument training right now, and I have an instrument checkride next month on the 9th! Then I'm going to complete my commercial, get my instructing license, then eventually make my way towards airlines.

I used to play quite a lot of flight simulator too and was on vatsim on Prepar3D, but I've been flying so much in real life that I don't even use flight simulator as much anymore.
