Is the idea of encryption of a file (exe) to change the binary code of the file? - Skorbian - Aug 2, 2017 I'm just starting to get into making my own encryptor, and there are some things I'm still unclear on: In the literally encryption process, what is typically done to the file? I can view and edit the file in binary mode for example, which is at the moment what I think I should be doing. Is the goal to make this file unreadable by adding certain bits of data? Then obviously have the stub know what this data added is, so it can remove it, so it can run the exe. I hope I'm on the right tracks. Thanks ! |
