Equipment I need to make videos and stream - Evanescence - Aug 5, 2017 I know I need a capture card and I don't "need" it, but I want to get a Blue Yeti mic and a good pair of headphones. Are there any other things I need? Or do you guys have any suggestions for which capture card, mic, and headphones I should get? * - Reporter - Aug 5, 2017 No idea if this is true but * - Flaws. - Aug 5, 2017 You honestly dont need anything to get started You can get started with a mic and a PC no more no less Its a common misconception i see on youtube alot that you need shit tons of equipment and such to stream or record But, for what you listed. Astro A50's double as Mic as jesus does this thing sound good And capture card? probably an elgato but they arent 100% needed if your PC is beefy as fuck * - Reporter - Aug 5, 2017 (Aug 5, 2017 01:11 PM).Jasper Wrote: You honestly dont need anything to get started This is correct There is plenty of Youtubers with 6 digit subscribers that still use headset mics because a lot of new headset mics sound really good * - Evanescence - Aug 5, 2017 (Aug 5, 2017 01:11 PM)Reporter Wrote: No idea if this is true but Honestly, that guy just sounds like one of those dickbag kids on the internet that think they're better than everyone because they play games on PC, but he's doing the same thing with mics. There was barely a difference in his setup examples and the Blue Yetis, but he also probably paid $500+ for all that sound equipment. I've always heard that for recording on a console you need a capture card. * - Flaws. - Aug 5, 2017 (Aug 5, 2017 01:20 PM)Evanescence Wrote: Honestly, that guy just sounds like one of those dickbag kids on the internet that think they're better than everyone because they play games on PC, but he's doing the same thing with mics. From what i know about audio i can tell you hes pretty bang on the nail tbh But hey, what do i know On console capture card is needed then im afraid * - Evanescence - Aug 5, 2017 (Aug 5, 2017 01:23 PM).Jasper Wrote: From what i know about audio i can tell you hes pretty bang on the nail tbh Well, he is right that his setup is a bit better, but it also probably costs at least 3 times the price. I'll probably just use my Logitech G930 headset to start out with and see how it goes. I don't want to spend too much money on equipment then my channel go nowhere. This thread is mostly for future reference for me, so I'll probably just buy the Elgato for now. * - Flaws. - Aug 5, 2017 (Aug 5, 2017 01:36 PM)Evanescence Wrote: Well, he is right that his setup is a bit better, but it also probably costs at least 3 times the price.
