This feature apparently has existed for quite a while but I've never heard of it before. I obviously don't have to explain why this is great for people like me that only have 1 cable coming to their room since the modem is so far away.

Are you on a laptop because this certainly doesn't work with my PC.

It's WiFi. It uses your wireless adapter. If you can connect to WiFi, you can rebroadcast it as well provided your hardware isn't awful.
