Question regarding leet and epic - lurking - Aug 13, 2017
I'm not sure if this has been answered before, didn't see anything.
Why do you "lose" leet on Ub3r upgrade, but keep epic? Is it because epic gives you additional perks? (In regards to the userbar).
Another member and I had a conversation about this over PM wondering where each other's leet was, as he never had leet, went epic -> uber, where I went from leet -> uber.

Ep1c was made as an addon upgrade because people wanted more PM space and it gave those an option that couldn't get Ub3r.

Ub3r is considered an upgrade from L33t, whereas 3p1c is an add-on rank that can be purchased by anybody.

As Minimalist has said: L33T is 'Tier 1', whereas UB3R is 'Tier 2' with better perks. No point being in both groups as UB3R offers the same and better.

I guess in old HF l33t was not a requirement to apply for ub3r, any user could apply for ub3r even without having epic
