new build/pc not showing display but booting - Calibur - Aug 21, 2017 I just bought a pc build yesterday but i was having problem with the display. Basic things of the build: Quote:Amd Ryzen 7 1700x I know i should contact the store but it's already late here so i'll just bring the entire pc back to their store tomorrow. I just wanted to get some answers so i have a clue on what things i could tell them or ask them to understand it more. Everything's brand new and sealed. They assembled it and tested it on their store and showed me the bios settings that the pc's working perfectly fine. (no os installation, i was planning to do it myself). So the next day, when im about to install the os and tried connecting the pc to my monitor (samsung s2e310h) using HDMI cable, the monitor wont open up but the pc boots (i heard beep). I also tried switching back the monitor to the old cpu & use vga and the monitor opens up so the monitor looks perfectly fine. Im sure i inserted the hdmi cable correctly to the gpu. Do any of you have a clue on what's the cause of this or if you could possibly experience/knew this kind of issue? It's my first time having 10 series and i'm not a very techy guy so im really confuse. I was just using vga before on my old cpu & monitor. I'd appreciate anything that any of you could tell me about it. Thank you. 🤝 * - Breeze26509 - Aug 21, 2017 Did you change inputs on the monitor? * - Tommy Chong- - Aug 21, 2017 Sounds like a problem with your HDMI cable. Have you tried a different one? maybe the one you're using has a loose contact or something * - minimalist - Aug 21, 2017 Have you tried waiting a few minutes? Ryzen can take some time to boot with fresh settings. * - Awhile - Aug 21, 2017 This actually just happened to me a about a week ago building my new PC. For one, make sure the hdmi cable is plugged into the graphics card not the motherboard. If that still doesn't work, take the battery out of the motherboard for 10 mins and put it back in. This helped make mine work. * - Calibur - Aug 21, 2017 Found out that i have to switch into hdmi on my monitor settings to make it work. Thanks for all your replies guys, i really appreciate it! Big thanks to all of you specially to @Gt403cyl for telling me about the monitor settings :D :D |
