Hwid lock. - TurboFast - Aug 25, 2017 Hey so basically im trying to find out how do i make a kinda secure hwid lock for some programs. As i know you can bypass the regular ones using programs like fiddler etc... How could i prevent people from doing that. Any help is good. * - webdev77 - Aug 25, 2017 You won't be able to stop your program from being cracked if it's written in .NET. That's pretty much a given at this point. You are better off just writing a quality program that people are willing to pay for. * - TurboFast - Aug 25, 2017 (Aug 25, 2017 07:57 AM)webdev77 Wrote: You won't be able to stop your program from being cracked if it's written in .NET. The point is if im going to write a program that im willing to sell its going to get leaked smh anyways any advice on what could i use so i can license every user? * - Barret - Aug 25, 2017 Yay, another hwid lock....this is the?? 10039028428942e version ive seen. :P * - CoderEX - Aug 25, 2017 There is always server side checks. Have the user send credentials to the server and have the server respond accordingly. It's a little harder to crack than a simple client check. * - Ninja - Aug 25, 2017 (Aug 25, 2017 07:57 AM)webdev77 Wrote: You won't be able to stop your program from being cracked if it's written in .NET. Let's not protect our applications at all because it'll get cracked anyway. Hey everyone I work for Sony but I'll just leak everything we have in our database because sooner or later all that data is gonna be hacked and released anyway. Hey everyone, let's not hash and salt passwords because they can be reversed anyway using rainbow tables and god damn quantum computers. It's just a matter of time 👍 👍 🤣 🤮. Lol. Just lol. I agree with your statement about writing good quality software but a major part of that is to protect your property.. I'm not afraid to call you or anyone out for pure bullshit. I am very fucking mentally unstable right now but fuck me if my logic isn't still in line with reality. * - Ninja - Aug 25, 2017 (Aug 25, 2017 05:35 PM)DeadKube Wrote: Hey everyone. To elaborate: What you want to do is make it harder, not impossible. There are very little ways to make something impossible to be cracked, except when you make something server sided and that endpoint returns unique data based on user input or something. And even then it can be spoofed to some extent. (Aug 25, 2017 07:52 AM)TurboFast Wrote: Hey so basically im trying to find out how do i make a kinda secure hwid lock for some programs. Anything that is done with a remote API can be spoofed/bypassed (except for some more uncommon instances). If you are comparing an offline variable (HWID) with something on a server, that server response can always be spoofed. |
