Posting & Making Threads

Certain sections has requirements before you are able to post/make threads.

Reference: Prestige System, Reputation System.

Making threads in certain sections

Hack Forums / Marketplace / Premium Sellers Section

Requirement: Must be UB3R or R00T or L33T
Members are required to be in the usergroup R00t or Ub3r or L33t to make threads in this forum.

Hack Forums / Marketplace / Premium Sellers Section / Premium Tools and Programs

Requirement: Must be UB3R or R00T or L33T
Members are required to be in the usergroup R00t or Ub3r or L33t to make threads in this forum.

Hack Forums / Marketplace / Premium Sellers Section / Currency Exchange

Requirement: Must be UB3R or R00T.
Members are required to be in the usergroup R00t or Ub3r to make threads in this forum.

Avatars & Signatures

The avatar and signature system is not complicated.
Upgrades does not limit you from using an avatar or signature.

Reference: Change Avatar, Change Signature.

Avatars
As a non-upgraded user, you are only able to use avatars from the on-site gallery.
*upgrade to L33T to remove this restriction.

Requirements
The maximum dimensions for avatars are: 120x150 pixels.
The maximum file size for avatars is 75 KB.

Signatures
Only for L33T and above.

Requirements
The maximum dimensions for signature are: 650x200 pixels.
The maximum file size for signature is 500 KB.
Has to be uploaded using a URL.

Private Messages

The private message system is very simple.

Sending private messages
You need a minimum of 25 quality posts.
*or upgrade to L33T.

Receiving private messages
No requirements.

Private message box size
L33T increases your inbox size with 1,500.
3P1C increases your inbox size with 10,000.
UB3R or R00T increases your inbox size with 2,500.

Private message pruning
Private messages for Normal's prunes that are older than 2 months.
Private messages for L33T's prunes that are older than 6 months.
Private messages for UB3R's and R00T's prunes that are older than 1 year.

Accessing Trust Scan

Accessing the Trust Scan requires account-upgrade.

- 3P1C or UB3R or R00T upgrade.

Posting links/images

Section reserved for edits.

Posting links
- Minimum of 50 quality posts.
*or upgrade to L33T.

Posting images

Upgrading

There are five upgrades, two which has no requirements.

- No requirements.
>> Can be purchased here.

- No requirements.
>> Can be purchased here.

- Must be L33t.
- Must have at least 250 posts.
- Must have at least 100 reputation.
- Must be a member at least 90 days.
- Must be approved.
- If denied cannot apply again for 90 days.

Legacy group. Not available for purchase anymore.

- Must be Ub3r.
- Must have 1000+ reputation.
- Must have 1000+ post count.
- Must have 1000+ days on your account age.

Legacy group. Not available for promotion anymore.

- Must be L33t.
- 100+ reputation.
- 250+ posts.
- 90 days registered.
>> Can be purchased here.

About the Marketplace section, aren't all upgraded members allowed to post there?

Online accounts and its subforums - ub3r only.

I think we also have a limit of 50 posts for something, I think it's for clickable links.

Correct (when it comes to posting), as long as you have neutral or positive reputation.

This is sure to be a lot of use for some of the newer members. However, I think you have the Ub3r requirements wrong. I am pretty sure you can go from regular to Ub3r and my wife got Ub3r with 70 posts.

Has the bearded one changed this?

It can very likely be as you are saying. I remember my source being a quote from Omni, but now i cannot seem to find it.. Of course.
