College freshman starting Thursday... Whats your number 1 tip for a freshman? - Glorify - Aug 29, 2017 If you had to give ANY tip possible what would be your number one tip to a freshman? * - Eagerkid - Aug 29, 2017 Make sure to go to every class, stay away from day drinking during the week * - FamousHater - Aug 29, 2017 dont mouth off to your elders unless u want to end up dunked in a trash can * - Moneyroller - Aug 29, 2017 Don't fuck up lol good luck * - wit - Aug 29, 2017 Once the first week is over dont drink during the week * - Riyu - Aug 29, 2017 Try to limit your absences. Try to avoid being late. Don't slack off. * - Froggy - Aug 29, 2017 Don't procrastinate. College is not the same as high school. The workload and assignments are different. You will 100% regret procrastinating each time, it's not like high school where you can do assignments the night before with no problems. Complete them the day they're assigned if you can. You will feel so much better. * - Confound - Aug 29, 2017 I'd recommend getting involved beyond just your classes. Getting into extra curriculars does a lot for you, beyond what you might think at first glance. Not only are extra curricular activities great for your resume, you also get all of this in return as well - - Meet new people - Gain skills that go beyond the classroom - Stay busy --- By virtue of staying busy, you are filling up your schedule which forces you to be disciplined, juggle several responsibilities at once, and develop time management skills which is crucial in college. I hope this helps - all in all, getting involved at school is really important. * - bobjoe7 - Aug 29, 2017 half the textbooks you don't even use, just download them online for free and then print in your school library for free the pages you need, or if you need help to find any, pm me * - siddy357 - Sep 1, 2017 welcome to the new world and you have to think of everything that you do beforehand or you are in for big trouble. * - Chosen 1 - Sep 1, 2017 Stay on top of all your work and never miss class. * - Marina Nagasawa - Sep 1, 2017 If you're in an impacted major, do NOT fuck up your first year or you'll feel like a complete PoS. If you're not in one, then use your first year to figure out how to balance your life by having fun and still keeping up with school and work harder your next few years. * - hack108 - Sep 1, 2017 Just enjoy the moment. Learn things but stay focused. * - device - Sep 2, 2017 (Aug 29, 2017 04:05 PM)Eagerkid Wrote: Make sure to go to every class, stay away from day drinking during the week Yeah and don't smoke weed in between classes. It's very tempting to skip classes but trust me that motivation wears off quick if you start not going often. * - Kuri - Sep 2, 2017 If your going to drink do it on the weekends and after your work is done. Work hard then play. |
