STORJ - Thoughts about latest updates - STORJ > SIA - eCoLoGy - Aug 31, 2017
Not many topics have been made about STORJ here on HF.
Most people were hype on SIA (another cloud storage crypto) and forgot about STORJ.
Well last night I was using FileZilla to upload some stuff and came across this:

I then went to Storj website and read about it:

Storj made a partnership with FileZilla and is now available on it.
While SIA was focused in creating a Miner for it's coin (that turned out being just a disaster move), STORJ was focused in what really matters for a coin with cloud storage purpose.
Not sure what's to come to Storj next but they are for sure doing the right moves!
I've not personally invested in Storj but I might. 👍

This is oldnews, meanwhile Storj leader left the the project and joined Sia dev team.
And Sia did Minio integration and is working on Duplicati integration right now, minebox already out.

It's a news from last month yeah but news about the Storj guy left is from before.
Anyway just brought this to the community as there were no news about it.

Biggest news for both Sia and Storj is Kim Dotcom looking into using them for it's next megaupload-like site, this will be huge

If I recall correctly, Omni believed a lot in this coin and the recent pump certainly gave people some nice profits. I don't know much about it so I can't really speak about it, but I'll keep an eye on it.

I like what Storj is doing.
I liked where Sia was heading.
I personally don't believe any of these two will be industry leaders in 5 years for now in the decentralized storage solutions. There is something missing about it all. I think a new player is going to come along and build something more effective.
Whichever tech Dotcom uses will be the one that gets boosted into the future.
