Mirror Android screen to AV | Car setup - Lor‌d - Sep 2, 2017

So i'm going on a long family road trip. I have a budget of about $200.
I'm planning on setting up a Plex server on my laptop with it also generating an access point so everything can connect to it wirelessly via LAN.
I have one issue though. I want to get headrests with screens in them but they all have AV inputs. How could I get that broadcasted to those TVs?
The only way I see it working would be to mirror it over to the AV somehow through my phone.

Anyone have any ideas?
Maybe a better idea on how I can do this setup?
I basically want a hub with a bunch of movies + TV shows and what not and be able to stream it to 4~ screens in the vehicle.

You need to post the models of the laptop, smartphone, and screens to get an accurate suggestion. On an important note, displays that only take RCA video input are going to be analog. Where newer video outputs like HDMI supply a digital signal. This type of setup requires a dedicated convertor or an adapter to support RCA output for it to work. There are a lot of fake HDMI to RCA cables on the market.

Mirroring RCA is really simple. All you really have to do is splice the source and solder on 4 new cables. Without splicing, you can buy a bunch of Y-splitters and daisy chain them. Do the same for the video line:

You could by x1 Rpi 3 Mobel B ($40), a 4-pin 3mm audio video cable to RCA ($5), splice that 4-ways to the screens and be done. Use an external HDD to hold media. That make large micro SD cards but for various reasons, you don't really want to use it to house that much media. No cables. you could make wireless displays of Rpi zero Ws so that each screen would be independent and able to browse or watch what they want. You have a lot of choices there.
