Basic Photoshop Help Needed - LANCE - Sep 6, 2017

When I copy a transparent image and the picture is black the background of the transparent is black.

How do I change this so the image is transparent?

Your wording is a bit confusing, but if you mean you cant save it with a transparent background, you need to save it as a .png or .gif

what is understand is that you want to save a transparent image so all what you need to do is checking the background layer and remove the lock from it by clicking 2times then delete it after that you can save it as png i hope this will be what youre locking for

Try saving as .png if I understand what your saying. 🤝

Sorry if I worded this wrong.

Let me try again.

When you see a transparent image on google like you have the image it self what you want and the transparent back is their but when it goes on to Photoshop it has a black background and no transparent around the image I copied.

Are you saving the picture as a jpg? 😠

* - LANCE - Sep 6, 2017

I don't want to save the image so say for example I grab a image that has a transparent background around the actual image, when I copy that image and paste it photoshop it comes up with a black default background and if the image that I want is black when I paste the image into photoshop it comes up fully black with no image at all.

Add me on skype : Youcef.rekkas so you can explain this clearly for me

You can't copy + paste an image from google that's transparent and have it show up transparent in Photoshop. You have to SAVE it, then open it up in the software.
