Hey guys, need to TEXT someone and spoof my number to appear as a different one. Need it to be a specific number so text now etc won’t work. Thanks in advance

You can spoof your phone number by using a app like TextFree or TextNow, but I don't think you can just have words as your caller ID. I know on unlocked iPhones you can disable caller ID so it does not show your caller ID when you call someone. This all I know.

Thank you. I use TextNow already. However I need a way to spoof to a specific number or word. Not a random one.

I've actually been looking for the same, just to call people anonymously and look legit.
Why? Just so they don't get suspicsious over a call that has no sketchy intent without getting my num :P

There was/is a tool for this within the social engineerimg toolkit (as seen on Mr.Roboy haha). It was free and worked great on backtrack 5. It is still there in Kali however I believe you have to pay per text or something now. Not really sure haven't played with it much. I could check for you of you really want. But if you have no idea what kali is then just disregard everything I just said haha

I use http://www.textem.net/ when I want to mess with people...cannot text people from a spoofed phone number but you can text anyone from any spoofed email address (can pretend to be a cop or government agent with a .gov email or even text them spoofing from their own email address making them think you hacked into their inbox)
