Module to get info about wireless networks? (py3) - Not Your Average Orange - Sep 17, 2017 Hey, anyone know of a Python module that can get the ESSID's, channels, ect. of the networks nearby? * - soueuls - Sep 17, 2017 You can use a pypi package named wifi. Code pip install wifiYou can then use it this way: Code from wifi import CellEach Cell object has various attributes such as SSID, signal, quality, etc. I will let you explore it by reading the documentation and dir() 🤝 * - datguy.dev - Sep 17, 2017 When I want network info, I turn to kismet or airodump. For aircrack-ng suite, there is the pyrcrack package. As I said before, had hit and miss results with it. For kismet, there repos such as https://github.com/PaulMcMillan/kismetclient You could also simply have aircrack installed and do os.system('airodump {0}'.format('wlan0')) or os.system(iwlist wlan0 scan) 🤝 🤝 |
