Drone pilot jobs? - Kaiba Corp - Sep 18, 2017

Hey, how's it going HF?

Basically I got an invite for a selected ex-top class members to take a course to be a drone pilot.

My country put up some serious laws against them and now you actually need a license to pilot them. While anyone can take the course, the advantage of doing it from school will cost very less.

My question is, with drones what are the actuall job prospects to look forward too?

From google I've found mostly cameraman and mapping.
Anything more?

You can probably be a cameraman for music videos or something.

Taking pictures for real estate with a drone could male some pay.

Are we talking a military drone or some gay DJI phantom thing?

OP is 100% talking gay DJI Phantom thing.

OP if you want to make some serious money flying drones, look into a civil engineering degree and work with state-sponsored (government) environmental groups or land surveying. You can make a pretty penny if you find the right job. You can also learn to make drones and sell them to surveying companies or government agencies.

Drone jobs are really the future! My whole state is trialling for the schools to have a drone class for senior years, so I think there will be high demand.

I've got a friend who does real estate photos in a high end area with his drone. Kid is making very good money off of it when there is work.

I have one of those "gay DJI" drones and I've been monetizing it for at least a year now. I do mostly real estate and 3D Mapping. I have a website and get anywhere from 3-5 calls or emails per month requesting quotes. Easy and fun money.

Military? I'd wish. No civilian and commercial the license is for drones that have +3kg and can go over 60km/h (around 37 mph).

-Drones with lower specifics can be used by anyone since those aare classified as toys beeing unable to reach the fly zones of other aerovehicles if confor to the country norms that is.

The real estate job seems the most profitable according to the comments. Thanks!!

Military would be my best guess for having an actual pilot. Most drones are put on designated paths to follow so I'd imagine they'd have to pay a lot less for aerial coverage than having a person do it.
