Also, would I be better off going off the the GNOME desktop environment and Compiz, or Budgie and Docker to achieve the look I'm going for.

Read the file name ?
genymotion-2.10.0-linux_x64.bin
.bin because it is a binary file
x64 because it is for AMD64
Linux because IT IS FOR LINUX
