Purchase Uber or Leet - "Patrick Star" - Sep 21, 2017
I’m interested in purchasing Uber Leet here, but I don’t know how to use bitcoin, can I use PayPal instead?

You cannot use PayPal directly but you can either exchange it or pay someone to upgrade you

paypal isn't a payment method for upgrades (obvious reasons). you pretty much have to purchase 3p1c, and then l33t before you can get ub3r. even before you get ub3r you need to reach certain requirements.
depending on what you need here or are interested in doing, buying all the upgrades isn't exactly needed. however, it's up to you whether or not you want to support the site in that sort of way.

OP, you don’t need to buy 3p1c.
I suggest buying the l33t upgrade first. To buy ub3r, you must have l33t, apply for it and get approved by omni.
3p1c upgrade is more of an add-on, whereas l33t and uber are the main upgrades

Hey there,
Firstly, I recommend you read all of Hack Forums' Help Docs, which are the rules of the forum, which you can find here.
Secondly, if you notice by looking at the upgrades page which you can find here, you'll see all of the benefits of the respective groups that you can upgrade for. But please note, Ub3r is a user group that requires L33t before joining, and you must apply for ub3r and be accepted by the site admin before being able to purchase the usergroup. As such, you can decide to donate for either l33t or 3p1c. The choice is yours.
As for the payment method, no you can't use PayPal to buy upgrades/awards or any other site related payments like thread stickies. The upgrades page states which payment methods are accepted. As for how to obtain Bitcoin, I recommend you take a look at the Currency Exchange, which can be found here. In this section, you'll notice users posting offers to trade currencies. As an example, you can convert PP to BTC, or vice versa. Another note: You can only post in the Currency Exchange section if you have either neutral or positive rep, and you will NOT be able to make a thread in that particular section. Making a thread requires Ub3r.
Lastly, please stay safe while dealing on HF. You must use your own discretion when dealing, and take necessary precautions before agreeing to trade with anyone. Make sure they do not have any scam reports associated to their profile. You can do that by using the search function on the site, which you can find here. Type in their UID, which you can find in a user's profile link. Mine would be 2920830.
If you wish to search for a middleman to use for any deals, check out this forum here to find one. And remember, even middleman can technically scam. So stay safe when dealing.

Simply put - no, you can't use PayPal. PayPal is extremely easy to chargeback, and ultimately, fuck around Omni with having to deal with that. There are plenty of exchangers here where you can buy Bitcoin or even other external websites. A simple google search should help you find what you need. Please be reminded that all currency exchanging must take place in the Marketplace under the Currency Exchange subforum. Hope this helps.
