North: addicted to caffeine. Prefers Coffee.
South: addicted to caffeine but refuses anything other than sweet tea.
North: "Hi, welcome to our hacker space! We hope you enjoy using our provided tools!"
South: "Here's the parts for a computer. Build it yourself. Wanna go online? Build you own switch, we don't have enough bandwidth cuz big internet companies hate the south."
North: Drink all the booze hack all the things.
South: Drink all the bud light, hack all the things.
North: an undying love for computers.
South: an undying love for computers.
I guess we're not so different after all.
Edit: this is not a hate thing or stereotype thing, this is just based on experiences I've had with other hackers in both areas.

I live in the south and my city/state has gigabit internet and even offer 10gig/sec for personal use.
So not too sure how accurate this is.

I grew up in the south too and the fastest in the area is kilobit speed even today.

Change it to natty light instead of bud light and it'll be fairly accurate
