Why do groups ask for this? - Crystallize. - Sep 25, 2017 It always pisses me off when I see recruitment threads that asks for (profile url) why is that even needed for? You could just click the username and you would get it lol * - Space - Sep 25, 2017 Probably if users get a name change when within the group, they still have the profile URL as a link to identify the user. * - iKinky - Sep 25, 2017 i always used it as a filler question honestly. the response above me is what i would've used it for if i had a spreadsheet containing members/potential members * - ka$h - Sep 25, 2017 (Sep 25, 2017 03:52 AM)ˢᵖᵃᶜᵉ Wrote: Probably if users get a name change when within the group, they still have the profile URL as a link to identify the user. Yea because owners and leaders do regular reference checks. lol * - Saltpeter - Sep 25, 2017 Because it is possible to change your username and having your uid right there makes it easier to keep track of members. * - Aveling - Sep 25, 2017 Clicking the username also gives you the UID and profile of the person as the OP states. OP got a good question. * - Debugger - Sep 25, 2017 because they are owner's of the group so they can ask anything lol we just need to follow instructions bro that's what rules says * - Makaveli The Don - Sep 25, 2017 For me, when I made the recruitment using Google Forms and having to review 100 applications, it makes my life very much easier to have the profile link on each application. You may get pissed off of a 2 second job such as getting your profile link copied into the application, but it helps the leaders trendemensouly. Sometimes, leaders might copy every application and save it somewhere for further reviewing or so, and having a profile link there makes it easy. If it pisses a member off to do a small task such as copying their profile link, then leaders shouldn't really consider him into their groups. * - Lukas - Sep 25, 2017 (Sep 25, 2017 06:29 AM)Aveling Wrote: Clicking the username also gives you the UID and profile of the person as the OP states. Which would be easier if you had 100+ applicants? - Having them provide their URL/UID in the application form, right there for you to see - Clicking each individual account, copy and pasting their URL/UID into a spreadsheet * - Bos™ - Sep 25, 2017 (Sep 25, 2017 06:59 AM)Makaveli The Don Wrote: For me, when I made the recruitment using Google Forms and having to review 100 applications, it makes my life very much easier to have the profile link on each application. I honestly get pissed off of those group owners that ask you to work graphically on your application. Like flowers and hearts will make an application bold 🤦♂ * - Debugger - Sep 25, 2017 (Sep 25, 2017 06:59 AM)Makaveli The Don Wrote: For me, when I made the recruitment using Google Forms and having to review 100 applications, it makes my life very much easier to have the profile link on each application.
