Twitter header some times uploads blury. - synboxin - Sep 25, 2017 I've been dealing with this problem for over a year. Some of my headers will upload perfect 10/10 100% nice and clean. The other half it uploads total shit and fucked up and blur around text ect. I've read 1,000 tuts on Google. I've tried every format with different settings. I can not figure this out for the life of me. I use to have one header that was fine and when I saved as a normal PNG it would upload HQ. I would sometimes make projects and than drag it to this PSD and it would upload fine. The PSD was nothing special the same as my others. None of the settings I saved changed anything. This makes NO sense to me. Can anyone help me out? * - Rivalry - Sep 26, 2017 (Sep 25, 2017 11:19 PM)synboxin Wrote: I've been dealing with this problem for over a year. By 'some of my headers will upload perfect' do you mean you have, say, 10 headers and 5 of them are always perfect and 5 of them are always blurry, or do you mean you have 10 headers and each one is sometimes HQ and sometimes LQ? I assume you've checked obvious stuff like dimensions (Twitter changed their banner dimensions about a year ago iirc, maybe slightly longer ago) and project settings (72 DPI, RGB 8-bit etc)? * - synboxin - Sep 26, 2017 (Sep 26, 2017 03:02 AM)Rivalry Wrote: When you open the LQ headers on your PC do they display fine? i.e. does the loss of quality only occur upon upload to Twitter? The ones that upload really bad and blury are HQ pictures. I can upload them to anywhere like Imgur ect and it's perfect just like show on Photoshop. As for the second question it's random. I would say it's 50/50 I can make 3 headers and they upload perfect and flawless and than I can make 3 more after and they upload horrible. It's honestly just random from what I've seen. I normally save them just as a .png normally not save for web. I don't do any special options and it will be random. Some are fine some aren't. I have tried every other options also different options in save for web ect. I do normally only do just a basic .png and some upload perfect some don't. * - Lucio - Sep 26, 2017 I'm not sure if Twitter allows it but if you can, try and upload your image to different host and then use the link from that host to display your background. Probably doesn't work like that. Try posting the image on your Twitter feed and seeing if the quality changes in just a post. * - synboxin - Sep 26, 2017 (Sep 26, 2017 12:13 PM)Aevry Wrote: I'm not sure if Twitter allows it but if you can, try and upload your image to different host and then use the link from that host to display your background. I'll upload a picture to the feed in a little and see. As far as I'm aware pictures in the feed as normally always fine, I've been seen one fucked up. It mainly seems to be headers. * - Rivalry - Sep 28, 2017 (Sep 26, 2017 11:39 AM)synboxin Wrote: The ones that upload really bad and blury are HQ pictures. Sounds like the problem's on Twitter's end, though I'm not sure why that would be the case. It could be worth contacting their support. What I would suggest is saving your banners in different formats and seeing if that changes anything. Contrary to popular belief, .jpeg isn't the end of the world quality-wise - you could try that. But yeah, since the problem doesn't seem to be your fault with Photoshop (it seems to me to be an upload issue with Twitter), there's not much I can think of to do. * - synboxin - Sep 28, 2017 (Sep 28, 2017 02:43 AM)Rivalry Wrote: Sounds like the problem's on Twitter's end, though I'm not sure why that would be the case. So there has to be something I don't know what but something that lets them upload flawlessly. It's not random either. If I make a header and it uploads fine. I can re-upload 10000 times and each time it's fine so it's the header itself. |
