Hey mate, good choice on your investments as of yet.
In my opinion the best place to find consistent news and most current is Coindesk & Cointelegraph. Also Bitcoinist & Bitcoin Magazine.
Aside from this to find more specific information on individual alt coins, I recommend following their subreddits, checking the website & following the roadmap, and trying to get an invite to their Discord, Telegraph or Slack channels.

Get rid of the etc and put it in white coin. Heaps of room for growth in white coin and their payment plugin is being released soon.

If you want to learn more about crypto currency, I would check out the user Kill Joy and read up on his threads.
Also I would read a lot of the daily news and try and analyze it yourself
