Scripting WiFi PenTesting tools in Python Online Course - fogstone - Sep 27, 2017 I kept looking for an online course in using python for wifi hacking. I think I found something: http://www.pentesteracademy.com/course?id=14 So I will probably need some basic linux, some networking, and some wifi security skills to do this course. Should I go over regular python network programming in Scapy first, or would all of that be enough? I think I found what I was looking for. When I finish CCNA and Linux Essentials, as mentioned in another thread, I think I may really want to do this course. Is this a good course or should I try to find one more for beginners? I am really eager to use Python for wifi hacking when I am ready, but I want to know what I'm doing and be able to make something out of it with my own knowledge. I'm hoping I could find someone who has taken the course who could give me a good review? This course looks like what I'm looking for, but I want to make sure its worth it for this to be a goal of mine in the near future. What do you guys think? Does that course suck or is it a good idea? Thanks so much for helping. I think I will have a blast with it if you guys say its good. So has anyone taken it? If you don't recommend it, could you recommend a better course for using python for wifi hacking? It says to have knowledge of wifi security and also basic python knowledge first. Does that mean I should learn regular python network programming with Scapy and also wifi hacking without programming my own tools first, even after I get my CCNA and Linux Essentials? Thanks for the advice. Best, fogstone PS Am I asking too many of these questions? Please let me know if I'm going too far. I have a hard time telling when I am asking too much of the same stuff over and over. UPDATE!!!! After this question, I'm going to wait until I actually finish my CCNA before I ask this sort of thing again because I'm asking too often. * - Lukos1234 - Sep 28, 2017 You honestly don't need a CCNA , just get right into practicing problems (solving your own problems) , begin with a quick course to learn the basics and learn the theory as you need it. I started improving at a much better rate when I did that. Also look for the book 'violent python' * - fogstone - Sep 28, 2017 (Sep 28, 2017 04:44 AM)Lukos1234 Wrote: You honestly don't need a CCNA , just get right into practicing problems (solving your own problems) , begin with a quick course to learn the basics and learn the theory as you need it. I'm actually earning my CCNA because I like computer networking too. I'm probably going to learn Linux first. Yeah I think after networking, windows, and linux, (or networking and linux at least) then I'm going to transition to learning hacking. I didn't know violent python went over wifi. Thank you for letting me know that. Do black hat python and grey hat python go over it too? Wait a minute? It uses Scapy. Maybe Black Hat Python does focus on private network hacking. |
