Windows remote server, I turned on firewall, lost remote access, need help - atanLINDO123 - Oct 1, 2017 I need your help guys! I lost my access to my Windows server because I turned on the firewall without putting exceptions, and now I can't access it anymore. The only enabled port is the SMB port which is useless. The OS is Windows Server 2016. I just contacted the datacenter if they can do anything, I just wait for theit reply. I can't access the server physically. Is there any way to get the access back? * - datguy.dev - Oct 2, 2017 If you don't merely have 3389, you won't have any other management related ports so no options come to mind. There is the option of doing a clean install via the browser-based admin portal if you do have anything of value on the VPS. * - secretkeeper - Oct 2, 2017 actually, there is one: backdoor yourself using eternal blue exploit which operates through smb vulnerability :D but seriously, it might just take a single reboot for the firewall to drop off if the os is configured this way * - newerral - Oct 6, 2017 Its better to wait the response from your datacenter. |
