Is My computer at risk? - Tommm - Oct 8, 2017 Hi all, I recently installed windows 10 on my computer but it didnt activate as it said someone else was using the same code I was. I followed this tutorial to activate windows 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SkRuRsLMxc Is my computer at risk of anything with the text I put into my command prompt? Thanks if you could help. * - 4158996621556 - Oct 8, 2017 Well I can't believe you fell for this trap... It's stunning how one of the most popular tech tricks used by hackers all over the world still manages to catch people... it's a pretty known trick ( command prompt hijack 0.8.922b ) and noone knew how to fix their computers once it was hijacked via this trick for a long time but youre in luck since like 5 months ago microsoft released a patch which SHOULD resolve the problem so first of all: update all your windows drivers and install all windows updates at that point it should be all pretty straight forward: open windows 10 in safe mode and then using the notepad trick, reboot it into a-hiJCK mode at that point open up your cmd prompt with ADMIN RIGHTS and then type: ahijck [day you used the windows 10 code in the video in UNIX format] disable=1 reboot your pc normally WAIT IM JUST KIDDING YOU NEED TO DELETE THE NOTEPAD FILE FIRST IN SAFE MODE ok now reboot ur pc normally open up cmd again and type: ahijck finalize=1 now in cmd type: netstat if you see 127.0.0.1 estabilished you don't hvaqe anything to worry about close all of your applications and things opened, if there are still connections then it means you did something wrong and you didn't follow my steps correctly you should only see 127.0.0.1 connections and connections related to your ISP, nothing more nothing less i hope i could help you :) RE: I activated windows 10 by following this tutorial. Is My computer at risk? - aronatti - Dec 30, 2017 Windows 10 should give you an official Windows phone number in the activation screen. Once you've cleaned your computer, call them - just verify the number first to be sure. RE: I activated windows 10 by following this tutorial.
