Loving oneself? - Jure - Oct 14, 2017

Is there a true way to actually love yourself without it looking like its narcissism?
I'm currently having this problem where I can never succumb to actually loving myself because of my flaws and issues.

I learned to love myself, but it turned into me literally wanting to marry myself.
Like, I'd go on trips and find me trying to con myself through I- if you know what I mean.

By the way, know that you cannot change your flaws. You can't change how you look, and you can't change what you are, but you can always change who you are through dedicated personal development.
Work on yourself by improving the things you don't like (which you can change)- your weight, laziness, inability to work and stay working on one thing. While you do this, know that there are some things that you cannot change. These are the things that make you who you are, though. You as a person are someone to be loved- someone who can be loved.

Love yourself.

You only get one life and this is it. Might aswell get to learn how to love what you have.

In order to love yourself, you have to know yourself.
Once you know yourself, you'll find that there's no distinction to be made between you and love.
Love arises out of the spontaneous knowing of who you are.
Seeking to love oneself is a dualistic idea and will ultimately lead to failure.
The idea of being unloved or not loving oneself is just a thought which you give attention to.
Forget all about love.
Just be yourself.

Thank you for sharing this, made me think of it in a new way.

I have learnt to appreciate myself. But this is a feature that has grown from the fact that I unlike how others are. Which is the pessimistic variant of loving yourself.

I appreciate myself because I know others are as shit or shittier.
