BSOD after Fall Creators Update - Ðr1ps - Oct 19, 2017 Downloaded and updated fine yesterday with no issues at all. Earlier today, I turned on my PC and noticed 2 things. My NVIDIA color profile had been reset and apps / browser tabs (Firefox) started crashing while Windows started throwing BSOD's with error FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE. Did a clean install of the NVIDIA drivers in safe mode, but nothing's fixed. Anything that comes in mind? Can't even install stuff, says setup stopped working. * - Helltoy - Oct 19, 2017 Go into advance mode and there is option to restore to previous build. Honestly dunno what else to say... Maybe you should wait some time to upgrade? * - Ðr1ps - Oct 20, 2017 I did a clean install of Windows but it's still crashing. So far any app that has crashed, has crashed due to the NVIDIA drivers but I've already tried reinstalling them a bunch of times. * - Calibur - Oct 20, 2017 Maybe your nvidia drive is outdated? Are you using the latest version of nvidia driver already? * - Ðr1ps - Oct 21, 2017 Actually I misunderstood the error log. It just mentioned which GPU it was using, not that it crashed due to it. Not sure what else could be causing the crashes as resetting Windows removes drivers and all. I also noticed the crashes happen in safe mode as well. * - Hydra - Oct 21, 2017 So if I understand correctly.. you did a clean install and still have crashes? If that's the case, it's gotta be hardware. A clean install is a full wipe and vanilla W10 install. Refresh/Reset isn't considered clean install. Go into BIOS and reset to default as well. He's right ^ also when you did a clean install did you use Windows updates drivers or Did you go to Nivida website and download the lastest driver? |
