[animals]Kill or dont kill - a323109 - Oct 21, 2017

Years ago i started to have a couple of rabbits, 1 male and 1 female. In the beggining their "children" died. So i asked local farmers why. There said to me that there is no way one can raise rabbits without giving them drugs ecc...

I did not gave anithing but grass, at some point they started to no longer die 😶
Now i have 12 animals.

Should i kill about 6 of them and eat them???

Personally i have no problem to kill animals,

Well then or give them away.
Don’t kill them and eat them. Unless you are poor and can’t afford food.

Well, i am not poor but i think the food i buy was killed too.😑

Well its livestock.

If you get too many, try to give them away or sell them.

Either way if you don't have relations to them anyway, might as well go the other way.

Well he could hand them in to a butcher? We did that with our lambs.

In the past it was common to kill animals here in my village. Today there are hunter who kill and can transform dead animal in meat. I know how to do as well. My father was an hunter and he teached me how to.

If you do decide to kill them make sure it's in the proper, non-torturous way.

I have already killed one of them when he went outside the fence and he was badly wounder by a car.

I try, it is not that easy to make a clean kill. I ve killed 2 of them and i was able to tranform them into eatable meat.

Now i have 15 animals, i simply put grass into this home made feeder:
i ve sold abot 10 of them, only 2 killed and eated.

daily.

Years ago the baby rabbits easily died i dont know why, but now the dont die anymore. That is good because it means they are stroger now.

Sure, if you are hungry you can kill and eat them I guess.

It's the same as buying meat from the store.

I guess if you haven't named them yet, you could eat them.
I personally would rather starve with no money then to eat such precious beautifull rabbits.

If you see them as pets, you cannot really eat them.

But if they are just 'livestock' its pretty normal toe at them.
