Upgrading to L33t - Nosi - Nov 2, 2017

I'd like to upgrade my membership to L33t, but I just realised that there is a $6 BTC fee. As I only have ~$20 BTC right now, I was wondering if the payment would still go through, if I lower the fee, normally transaction fees arent that high am I right.

If there is no way to lower the fee I'd be happy to take on some graphics work in exchange for the amount missing :) Lemme know if interested!

Which wallet you are using? You can use custom fees in most wallets.

I am using breadwallet right now. I can change the fee, but I am not sure how much I would need to make it go through. I don't really want the payment to process for a month :p

you should be able to easily change the fee. and like you said someone might need some simple graphic work and could throw you like 50 cents for the miner fee shouldnt make it take too long

I would say just enter some giveaways or find someone giving away btc for a small task.

Do you have exactly 20$? Because l33t costs 20$ and you wil need atleast 1$ for transaction fees.

RE: Upgrading to L33t - Nosi - Nov 2, 2017

I do realise that I can edit the fee, but my main question was how big should it be to go through within 24 hours? Is 50 cents enough? 5$ seems really over the top :p

I have like 22$ BTC and I was wondering how much I should pay for the fee.

You know what the issue is right now? Bitcoin network is congested. So even if someone sends free btc to OP, those bitcoin will take days to get confirmations or the sender will end up paying 2-3$ fees for 50 cents transaction.

Oh okay, thanks for that information, I really wasn't aware of that. Anything that I can do about that? Or should I just pay the high fees (when I get the money)?

Pay 1$ (0.00014) fees and send me transaction id, I will accelerate your tx and it should get confirmation in some hours.

Wow, just found out that it is only the payment amount I can change, not the fee. Seems like the have some kind of dynamic fee processing. Brb I'll check their support.

Okay, so I just upgraded to L33t for 25$ BTC as I am pretty stupid. How does this work now? Does the payment processor automatically realise that the Payment came from this HF account?

Yes, once your transaction is confirmed your account will get upgraded automatically.

RE: Upgrading to L33t - Nosi - Nov 2, 2017

It hasn't been 24 hours as I just upgraded. Just wanted to know if it normally works all automaticlly.

Thank you, I really appreciate your help :)

RE: Upgrading to L33t - Underworldproblem - Nov 2, 2017

I have so many small transactions that any transaction fee for me is now $10+. fml

Don't know if that's how it works, but this is my case.
