Thoughts on the Indian call center scams - Benny Jamz - Nov 14, 2017

I saw like 10-15 videos today about those scams (The IRS, Microsoft, Property et cetera..) and it's quite funny, because it's all based in India.

I seriously believe that those call centers are a day job like 9-5 with people trying to pull out scams everyday for a living.

If you haven't seen those videos, try watch this one. Its unbelieveable these scum bags are getting mad and starts insulting you, because you expose them.

Thoughts on this?

I just screw with them till they get frustrated and block my number. One dude quit while I was on the phone with him. Wish I'd been recording, it was hilarious.

Eh, it's a silly method. I read about that somewhere on reddit. There were 3 people trying to make a guy believe his PC has trojans so they can offer to clean it for 175$. I don't consider them really blackhat, because the profit they make is small and they are not forcing anyone. Morally it is on the same level as CPA.

Yeah and they make the victim to install a remote desktop program, so they can fix their computer and clean it, meanwhile they install a malware which most likely a RAT and afterwards they will just make your life a pain in the ass.

So no, it's not the same level as CPA.

They actually make Decent money. More than the average pay In India. It is sad they have to do these scams. India Is a hard country to live In. Their government doesn't give them anything/provide anything to help them get actual jobs etc. I am In no way Justifying their scams, but It is unfortunate.

When I was in prison, almost 100 people came from this call center scam. They all were acting like they didn't had any idea about it.

Read an article that basically said scammers try to make these scams sound ridiculous (aka nigerian prince) so that they are sure the people that will engage will fall for it. No use investing time in someone if they have doubts midway through.
